Which Covenant Are You Under?
Covenants have been a way to establish a promise or agreement between God and His children from the beginning of time. The first time we see an agreement made between God and man is in the Garden of Eden. God tells Adam in Genesis 2:15-17 "The Lord God commanded the man, saying, "You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." Unfortunately, in this covenant, man did not uphold his end of the deal and death entered into the Earth. Covenants are meant to legally bind and establish a relationship while outlying specific obligations and restrictions for all parties involved. Knowing that a covenant is a legal agreement, should show one the severity of the promises and agreements being made. Covenants should not be taken lightly.
